Strong, steady leadership is crucial and requires active engagement, respect, collaboration, open communication, and compromise. I enjoy working alongside experienced City Hall staff, civic leaders, and engaged community members. We’ve accomplished a great deal in the past 2 years and there is more to do. Working together, we will continue to positively impact our community.

This is a balancing act; growing as a city and enhancing the small-town charm we love.  The city must grow to increase the tax base to cover rising costs. Steady growth keeps us fiscally sound and other policy actions make us special as we focus on added services and experiences for our residents.  We are doing it now, and this agenda must be our focus no matter who is in office over the coming years.

My background in business translates well to my work as Mayor. In both worlds, I utilize data to project financial implications based on fluctuating sales and rising costs. Behind the scenes at City Hall, we are looking at the long range and proactively planning as we also face the implications of labor shortages, and rising inflation.

I am a family man and businessman who has lived in Oconomowoc for 34 years, and I can’t think of another city I’d rather call home. We are special for one core reason: the people. It is the people that make our city a great place to LIVE, WORK, and PLAY.  When the local government is transparent and engages the community,  good things happen.  We are accountable and we own both our successes and mistakes.
